Telescope for handicapped people

Although there are more and more buildings, pavements and social establishments adapted to handicapped people, there are many limits that prevent disabled people from their interests.

Have you ever thought that observation with an astronomical telescope can be quite a big problem for the invalids when their heights are usually 1,3 m above the ground. All types of telescopes are higher and people need to climb up the ladder.

That is why we have built such a telescope which can work according to these people.

An astronomer points at an observed object and adjusts the eyepiece position according to the observer.

The telescope is mobile and it is possible to put it into a car and take it for an outdoor excursion because of better conditions for observing. People without handicap can use this telescope, too.

This astronomical telescope is of a Newton type. Its parameters: the diameter of the primary parabolic mirror is 200 mm, the focus is of 1380 mm. The eyepiece in the basic arrangement is of 32 mm.

The telescope is destined for observing of galaxies, nebulae, planets, and the Moon.

It is possible to put a solar filter onto the telescope and so to observe the Sun.
